Why it matters

Old electricals don't belong in the bin.

Electricals in landfill can leak harmful substances such as lead and mercury into soil and water. They also take valuable copper, aluminium and precious metals out of use for good. Every kettle, cable and laptop we collect is sorted so the materials go back into making new things.
